Report 2024 problem

Dear support person,

I am seeking your assistance with several issues regarding the 2024 report I generated in Koinly:

  1. Binance Wallet Integration Issue: Following your guidance, I deleted my Binance wallet and reinstalled it using new API keys and secrets. Despite this, the problem persists.

  2. Staking Transactions Discrepancy: The nine transactions Koinly identified, where the quantity of coins sold exceeds the amount purchased, are due to staking activities. I received additional coins as rewards, which may not have been accurately reflected. This is a known issue where staking transactions are sometimes interpreted as disposals, affecting balance calculations. How may I report this?

  3. Zero-Value Entries in Report: Numerous items in the report are showing a value of zero, which distorts the report’s accuracy. This can occur when API-synced wallets report balances that differ from Koinly’s calculated balances, leading to discrepancies in the data.

I would appreciate your prompt attention to these matters.

Thank you in advance,

Sarit Honen

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?

How did you import data into this wallet?

What have you tried to fix this so far?

Hi @11144

1- I am not sure what your issue with Binance is but it must be regarding balances and missing transactions for which I suggest you recreate your wallet using the CSV import method. Follow the instructions in the guide below to export the files:

https://koinly.io/integrations/binance/

2- Follow the instructions in the Staking and farming tokens article to tag your staking activity to have accurate balances. You may need to add manual entries to account for the rewards if you are using auto-compounding pools. This is also explained in the article above.

3- If you have tokens with zero values, the article below addresses this:

Market prices for XYZ are missing

We only have market prices (value) for tokens that we have in our database. You should make sure your tokens have the correct cost basis which is what Koinly needs to generate accurate reports. This is explained in the article above.
