Bybit API and CSV problems

Problems with APIs and CSVs:

  1. Koinly response: Bybit Tax API: Looks like your wallet ‘ByBit’ didn’t sync successfully due to an authentication error.
This usually means that the API keys are either invalid or not set up with the necessary permissions needed to sync your transaction history.

My response: No, this is incorrect as I can sync with the standard API (but this is also faulty and doesn’t import all my transactions and returns incorrect balances and realised/unrealised gains)

  1. CSV file imports:

These too are problematic and not reporting correct balances and capital gains and doubling up on transactions. I have tried various CSV file imports to no avail.

When I look through all the Bybit issues here, they seem to go way back, but there don’t seem to be any fixes. The same issues seem to appear all the time which is frustrating. Unfortunately, the sheer volume of trading transactions means that manual inputs of these are not feasible.

PS. I use Bybit for trading, for example derivatives and copy trading.

Hi @oztayls

There is currently an issue with the Bybit Tax API which you can track on our Feedback Portal using the link below:

The workaround as suggested in the link above is to use the regular API.

Regarding CSV files, you should make sure you have followed the instructions in the guide below to export your files:

If you have issues with the way API imports your transactions or if there are issues with the files, please contact our support team to look into the issue.
