Why Merging Transactions?

Hi,

I have a general question about merging transactions. I understand how to do it (https://help.koinly.io/en/articles/5605452-how-to-merge-split-transactions-manually), but why should I? It makes things a bit more organized, but does it lead to error in the computation of the taxes if I don’t do it?

Thanks!

Because by doing so you can greatly reduce the number of your total transactions, allowing you to either purchase a cheaper tax plan (e.g. Hodler vs Trader), or staying forever at a free trial account account for less than 10k total transactions across all years (without the capability to export a tax report though).
