When I create a transaction csv file of my Bitaroo transactions, after importing the file and reviewing the transactions, I notice the dates are all a day behind the actual dates and time stamp is way off. I’ve checked my UTC time zone (Sydney Australia) is correct. It makes checking transactions very confusing when searching for transactions.
Why is this and does it matter?
Cheers
Bitaroo
CSV file
1.Checked the UTC is correct when creating the csv. 2. Checked the dates in the file csv file are correct.
Hey @oztayls
Thanks for your question.
When data is imported from any source, it is converted to UTC to match the times on the blockchain. When you generate your reports, it will then be converted to the local timezone you have selected on the Settings page.
So if the times look different on the transaction page to what you expected, they’ll match your local time once you generate a report.
Good to know, but it makes checking imported transactions a nightmare! For the purposes of checking transactions it would be helpful if they could be converted to the local time zone.
Thanks.
Hey @oztayls
I hope you had a good weekend!
I completely agree and this is already on the team’s radar:
I don’t have an ETA but it’s on their to-do list.
