Token swap with new ticker and ratio

Describe the problem:
Hi, I had coin a MPL which was send to a destination to receive new (updated coin SYRUP) with a ratio of (1:100). Now, I see 2 problems:

  1. The coins (MPL) I send to a destination address to receive new coins is showing a gain in my transactions, which is not a gain as it was sent to receive new coin.
  2. The new coins (SYRUP) received with 1:100 ratio are also showing as gain, whereas this is not a gain.

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
MetaMask

How did you import data into this wallet?
Sync

What have you tried to fix this so far?
Not sure, what manual changes are required.

What manual changes should I make to fix this please?

Thanks,
Ama

Hi @myama_prime

Check out the guide Token rebases and symbol swaps (AMPL, DOR, BTT) to document these transactions.

Hi Aria,

Thanks for sharing the article and think it falls into When a token swaps to a new ticker at 1:X ratio (VEN → VET, LEND → AAVE, NPXS → PUNDIX etc)

  1. Find the “airdrop” transaction for the new tokens
  2. Change it to a Trade and set the “Sent” part to equal the old token and balance

As as the transactions are synced via API, how should I change the “Sent” part.

There are two transactions causing issue:

  1. I send the tokens to get new tokens
  2. New tokens received in the wallet

How can this be fixed, please? Thanks in advance for your help.

@myama_prime

If the withdrawal is already in your account, you should merge it with the deposit to convert them into a single transfer. If the withdrawal is missing, then you can edit the deposit and change its type to a Trade—exchanging the old token for the new one.

How to merge/split transactions manually

This applies regardless of whether the transactions came from an API or CSV import.

To edit API-imported transactions, click “Edit locked fields” at the bottom of the transaction page after clicking Edit.
