There are some new tokens popping up on the Algorand blockchain. They’re traded on a dex called Tinyman. Some of these tokens have names that are identical to other tokens on different blockchains. Koinly is getting confused and assigning the value of the wrong tokens. I can not find an option to fix this.
I’m having a similar issue. I was airdropped an ASA named BTC but Koinly thinks it is real bitcoin and is showing gains of millions of dollars on an asset worth around $8.
same here with a worthless old airdrop in my wallet -
Eth erc20 token 0x8BAb3CA6E929a5D5D1EEfd5DE68Ecf3264Fa742d SAMfin (worthless) is reporting as -
Chiliz Samsunspor Fan Token (SAM) 0x31E6F0276982f6Fb4049D873049bc855f2eE65E7
Same issue with the Acala (ACA) token on Polkadot that just went live yesterday. Koinly thinks it’s Acash (ACA) on Ethereum. It was imported via API from Gate.io so I can’t modify a CSV.
This can unfortunately happen when new tokens are added that we can’t automatically grab and add to our asset list in Koinly, or if one token is confused for another due to similar names and tickers.
The best thing to do in these cases is to send us an email with all the details like which token you wanted it to show, with the contract address or link to coinmarketcap/coingecko etc. as well a screenshot of the transaction where it was imported incorrectly.
You can send that to hello@koinly.io
We will look into it and import the missing assets or make sure they don’t get mixed up.
