Algorand ASA's are being mistaken for other cryptos and loading the wrong price

Describe the problem:

For examples:

“Clean Ocean Token (FISH)” Tinyman is being treated as coinmarketcapcom/currencies/polycat-finance/

and

“IQ Inu (IQ)” Tinyman is being treated as coinmarketcapcom/currencies/everipedia/

So my £20 investments in each are being treated as £80,000 or thereabouts

Please, that’s not great

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?

Algorand address

How did you import data into this wallet?

Connecting algorand address

What have you tried to fix this so far?

Nothing, the wrong coin is loading in

did you find a solve for this? My FISH token is screwing everything up for me

I’m having the same problem with lots of Algorand ASA’s.

Same issue here, it says i owe 6 million dollars, ive never had that much in my life.

Please fix asap koinly

This is really messing everything up. I haven’t been able to find a solution to this. We shouldn’t have to wait for Koinly to fix this. There should be a way to assign misinterpreted tickers to the correct coins ourselves.

We’re all having the same problem - not sure how many people will find this post though.
Koinly kind of hides this forum a bit now.

Hello!

Alex from Koinly here

The reason this is happening is because we don’t have most of the ASA assets currently imported in Koinly so they are assumed to be similarly/identical named tokens on other chains.
So unfortunately there’s no way to assign them to the correct one because it doesn’t exist in Koinly yet.
But we are working on this, so hopefully it won’t be much longer before this will all be sorted automatically

Sorry for the inconvenience!

As a workaround you can use any of the NULL1, NULL2, NULL3 etc. tokens as placeholder for the ASA if you need to urgently file your taxes.

Best regards,
Alex
