Koinly won't recognize/merge LAVA transfer to Tangem

I sent LAVA (on Arbitrum) from Bybit to my own Tangem wallet. Both the withdrawal and the matching deposit are in Koinly, one minute apart, and the quantity difference is only the network fee. But Koinly won’t merge them into a transfer — it keeps treating the withdrawal as a disposal and creating a large phantom loss.

The cause looks like pricing: Koinly gives the SAME token a very low value on the Bybit side and a normal value on the Tangem side at the same minute (dozens of times apart). Looks like the token is registered as two separate assets, so the “Likeness” merge rule fails.

Already tried, no luck:

  • Mark as Transfer → Own wallet: the matching deposit doesn’t even appear in the list.
  • Corrected the fiat value manually: still not offered for merging.
  • For comparison, HYPE sent from Bybit to the same Tangem address on HyperEVM merged automatically with no effort — so my setup is fine, it’s token-specific.

Same issue with PIN sent from MEXC to the same Tangem wallet.

Questions:

  1. Known issue with newer / low-liquidity tokens that lack price data?
  2. Any way to force a manual merge Koinly won’t match automatically?
  3. Is “Mark as Transfer → Third party wallet” the correct workaround, and does it give a proper non-taxable result?

Hi @ISHYI

If the LAVA tokens imported in Bybit and Tangem are different, you can fix this using the Change Currency feature. Then merge the two transactions as explained in the guide below:
