Generic Substrate chain address is not supported

Hello.

I am trying to import many of the parachains from the DOT ecosystem.

“Generic Substrate chain address is not supported”

I am using subscan.io to import transfers from multiple wallets. The polkadot ecosystem is HUGE like Koinly probably already know, and I am wrapping my head around over 30+ parachain wallet csv exports with copious amounts of tx data that are seemingly incompatible. The data is insurmountable to do manually.

If I cannot export directly from subscan and have it read the files, I can’t do my taxes. It is that simple.

When is Koinly going to support Polkadot and Kusama parachains? I believe dot core devs have been trying to reach out to you? You can find them here in the link below.

Furthermore, coinpanda offers $499 for all tax years. If polkadot is to be charged as an ecosystem with inherent high tx data aside nominal values, how will koinly ever remain competitive if its fee structures charge users per tx when data on substrate is so much greater than a regular chain?..

Cheers, Steve

Hi @Steven_Martin

This depends on the parachain in question. Check out the integrations page to see if the parachain is supported or not - https://koinly.io/integrations/

https://koinly.io/integrations/kusama/

Regarding “Generic Substrate chain address is not supported” error, you should make sure you are using a Polkadot address that starts with 1 instead of the addresses that start with 5.

There are still parachains that we do not support so for that pleaase check out our Feedback Portal - https://feedback.koinly.io/
