I’m unfortunately having several issues. I was excited to use the software but when I noticed problems, I went to live chat to find out I can’t use live chat unless I’ve bought a plan, but also if I buy a plan you won’t give me a refund if I have issues with your software (like this), in which case why would I buy a plan if I’m having issues? so instead I’m made to post here… I would very much like to purchase a plan once these are fixed as it looks like a nice solution.
Anyway, the issues I’m having are:
When importing via CSV from Kraken or LocalBitcoins, fees are not added to transactions, even though they are present in the CSV. This works when I import my BitStamp CSV. Is there a sample CSV somewhere that I could use to reformat?
Is there a way to make Koinly use the fiat totals/BTC price from the CSV, instead of estimating it from the date/time? This is leading to inaccurate totals.
I had some XLM airdropped and for my country this has a cost basis of 0, but Koinly uses the market value at the time. Is there a way to manually edit the cost in the app? I tried editing the transaction but there’s no way to edit cost?
I added some BTC at the start of my transactions as “funding”, but after all my transactions, Koinly still thinks I have that BTC? Do I need to go through each deposit and withdrawal and flag them as “Received from/Sent to Pool”?

To add more detail to Q4, I added Kraken, LocalBitcoins and BitStamp as “wallets” then imported my CSVs into them, then I added an empty Bitcoin wallet and made a manual transaction (at the start of my history) to show the BTC I had mined, but the transactions afterward state that they are “missing costs”.
I tried importing all my CSVs into the same “Bitcoin” “wallet” in Koinly and the missing costs errors went away but the calculations were still incorrect. I think maybe Koinly is calculating the market values of exchange deposits and using those as the cost rather than adding up my previous buys/sells/mines to calculate the cost.
I’ve made some progress with this now and had a reply via email, so for anyone else that is having issues:
When importing Kraken entries via CSV, the fiat amount shown is the amount after fees are deducted, even though the entry shows no fee. This is different from auto-sync, where it will create a separate “Cost” entry for the fee, and different again from BitStamp CSV import, where the Fee shows on the entry.
Same or similar issue at least. Seems like Kraken API is not recording fees as part of the basis during a purchase but as an expense. I have verified this by:
Use API connection just for Kraken - This shows “expenses” in the reports for the fees associated with each purchase and does not allocate to each tokens basis.
Deleted all the API transactions (back to clean slate) and then did the CSV import from Kraken instead. When doing this, the fees are recorded properly as part of the tokens basis.
Compared all generated reports under both and verified that the CSV import is calculating and allocating properly while the API is not.
So, suggestion would be to NOT USE THE API FOR KRAKEN until this is resolved and only use the CSV import if you want accurate tracking and reports.

Yes, I can confirm this behaviour. For now, I’ll stick to CSV imports which is also not quite accurate IMHO: the fees are added to the purchase price and cannot be distinct from the buy price
For example:
when the purchase price for, let’s say BTC, was 300€ and the fees 0.80€ Koinly will display 300.80€ as buy price although in the CSV the 0.80 are clearly as fee in a separate column.
