Would appreciate some help with a cost basis problem. I bought a NFT for 0.97 ETH on Aug 11th, which was $3,999 CAD. My cost basis was $2,871 for the ETH so Koinly shows a tax event of $1,128 CAD profit. I I created the transaction manually and used “Exchange” as the type and token “Null26” to represent the NFT. I sold the NFT the next day for 1.60 ETH so $6,481 CAD but Koinly is showing a cost basis for Null26 of $2,124 and a profit of $4,346. Shouldn’t the cost basis for Null26 be $3,999…not $2,124? Thank you!
