Describe the problem:
My BTC balance does not appear on my generated Tax report but every other asset does. It does show on my koinly dashboard
Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
The BTC is held in my exodus wallet
How did you import data into this wallet?
I initially added my BTC address to Koinly and it imported the balance and transactions correctly.
What have you tried to fix this so far?
I removed the BTC address and decided to add my exodus wallet where the BTC is held. Everything is reflected correctly on the koinly dashboard but when i generated another complete Tax report it still does not show on it.
Hi @Dennis_Oki
If your BTC wallet is added using API (auto-sync), you should make sure you have used your xpub rather than a single address to set up your wallet.
Check out the article below:
Bitcoin, Litecoin, Cardano: No transactions or few txns imported
Anyway, as this could have multiple causes, I suggest you reach out to our support team to look into it.
Hi @Aria_Koinly
Thanks for your suggestions however that hasn’t worked.
I successfully exported the xpud from my exodus and added it to koinly but i get a sync error and koinly throws an invalid key error.
Hi @Dennis_Oki
Would you DM me your xpub to test?
Hi @Aria_Koinly
The platform doesn’t seem to allow me to DM you. not sure why. Is there a way around this.
@Dennis_Oki

@Aria_Koinly i have messaged the support team. Thanks for your help.
Hi @Aria_Koinly
Jack from kucoin support reached out and made some suggestions which i implemented and this fixed the issue.
He identified negative BTC balance from my binance wallet on the dashboard as the reason the tax report was not showing my BTC balance.
I had to use APIs for both my Kucoin and Binance wallet rather than CSVs.
Issue fixed now and thanks again for your assistance
Happy to hear that, Dennis!
