BTC balance missing from tax report after transfer to Ledger

Been using Koinly for the last couple of years with no issues, balances and tax reports all good.

Since transferring BTC to a Ledger (2022) my tax reports do not show any BTC for end of year balances and has amended previous years where there was a balance.

On the Koinly dashboard it does show me current holdings but only relevant for today (last time I tried removing and adding the xpub). Anything previous to this is as if it magically appeared.

The transactions show transfers of BTC from an exchange to the Ledger.

I’ve tried resync, remove and add the exchange where BTC came from and the Ledger wallet.

Hey @Zoran1

Thanks for your message. :wave:t2:

After adding the BTC and Ledger wallets to Koinly are you seeing:

  • The Send transaction for the BTC?
  • The Deposit in the Ledger?
  • Is it being picked up as a Transfer?

Thanks.

Hi Carl, thanks for the reply.

Yes I can see the transfer transactions dated Dec 14 2022 to Ledger and these are both picked up as Transfers.

The complete BTC history is also there in transactions.

Just doesn’t show BTC as holdings for any date aside from today (or whenever I delete/ re add the Ledger wallet).

Prior to this all my reporting/holdings for BTC was fine. I’m stumped!!

Thanks, Zoran.
