Wallet: Binance US (Binance US)
Transactions: 49
Imported with: API
Start date is set
No airdrops/forks found
API does not allow access to: Fiat purchases, Convert trades, C2C trades, Margin purchases
---- Fiat purchases are not returned by the Binance US API
6 transactions are missing purchase history
strong text The issue is that while the transactions are showing the purchases of BTC/ETH from Fiat… the subsequent movement of that same BTC/ETH is recorded as no cost basis. The software seems unable to link the transactions for the same coins creating a huge tax liability when there is none.
Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
How did you import data into this wallet?
API for all transactions. CSV for all Fiat deposits.
What have you tried to fix this so far?
Re-syncing. Re-importing. Endlessly Googling.
I cannot embed more than one photo per post and I can’t post multiple replies quickly. This is a tough user experience as I try to share all the problem transactions with you.
@A_W Thats fine, I have seen what I needed to see.
You see on the ledger tab, the balance is negative? that’s why you’re seeing errors.
Even though you added the purchase, your balance was negative so it did nothing but bring your balance up a little.
Essentially, you are missing data in Binance US for previous transactions which made your ledger balance negative. You need to add buys/deposits which are missing.
Hi @Ali_Koinly - yes. I uploaded all transaction info using API and then doubled back and added the cash transactions as I read your API doesn’t cover these.
Any thoughts on how I resolve? I had to file a tax extension due to this issue.
@Ali_Koinly following up here - as you can see, even when I purchased $2,500 in BTC via fiat… it left my ‘ledger balance’ at 0. Something is wrong with Koinly’s software. I have manually checked every single transaction on this account.
Can you please escalate and have an engineer look? I am using HIFO accounting if that’s relevant.
