Anyone know how to get Koinly to properly show PnL/etc on FTX.US accounts that have leverage ability?

Describe the problem:
I have access to leverage on FTX.US, I am trying to do taxes on my trading but literally every time I plug my ftx stats into any tax site it is always extremely far off and hard to fix. For example, if I short 6 btc @ 45k/ea, it will show me as receiving a $270,000 in profit even though I am not 270k in profit because this is just the size of the position for example. It shows I receive 270k cash and then when I buy the BTC back from my short it shows a gain of $$ as well as a $0 cost basis as well from short selling on spot. I’ve done this a few times with FTX so its very frustrating to find any tax site that can properly show the stats so it’s accurate and not showing I am either 10m+ in positive capital gains or negative 250k+ from capital losses.. Any advice on how to fix this/implement? If koinly doesn’t or can solve this issue, anyone know who might?

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?

How did you import data into this wallet?
API

What have you tried to fix this so far?
I’ve tried spending several hours to try to fix the transactions but I cannot figure it out and would like help.

Having the same issue here. API does not allow access to margin trades? Cost for all margin trades is 0 resulting is wildly incorrect pnl. Pretty much not usable for ftx.us accounts. Disappointing if no solution. Looks like this issue was pointed out by other users nearly a year ago.

Hey guys  @Taylor @EY123

Thanks for reaching out about this. I understand how frustrating this can be, given that the API should in theory be importing all your data - however FTX US simply do not supply this information on their endpoint.

For now, we have advised users to obtain CSV files using the method below, and make sure to generate the PnL exports :+1:

We hope in the future, the API provides all this information so you don’t have to do this manually.
