Sol staked in Ledger

Describe the problem:

The Sol i have staked is not showing in the Ledger Sol Wallet balance or on Koinly in the Sol balance. So i just added a transfer from my Sol ledger wallet to a custom Sol Wallet with the amount that i staked (minus the rewards earned), now i have the amount of Sol staked in Ledger showing in my Sol balance in Koinly. Is this ok?

I also added a manual transaction for the amount earned from this staked Solana under the same custom wallet as above, and added a ‘‘mining’’ tag to the transaction.

Im not sure what else to do as it wouldnt let me add another Solana wallet for the staked Sol/mining because i the wallet address is already being used for the Non staked Solana in my ledger wallet.

Any advice appreciated. Thanks

Hi @sara

Thanks for your message.

Solana staking is auto-compounding. This means that, when you delegate your tokens (and they do leave your wallet, btw - you can check it on the explorer next time you stake) rewards are accumulated inside this staking pool.

Check Staking and farming tokens for tips how to deal with this. In short:

  • Tag all staking as “Add to Pool”
  • Whenever you unstaked something - “Remove from Pool”
  • The difference (accumulated rewards) will show as “Missing purchase history”
  • You should add them to the pool wallet

I am having a problem with staked Sol showing up in Koinly as Realized Gains. I keep seeing this solution of adding a tag with “Add to Pool” but I cannot find anywhere to do this.
When I go to the edit page for the transaction and go to the “+Tag” dropdown there is no option saying “Add to Pool”, there are only options of “Gift, Donation, Lost, Loan Fee, Margin Fee” etc…
Can you give me the steps to do this correctly?
Thanks

Hi @PDKoinly

The article What are Tags will help you with that.
