Scam Coin found in my Metamask Wallet

When I synced my BSC Metamask - LEDGER account, a coin PDOT . IO appears in my list of coins for this account on Koinly. I do not see this coin in my Metamask. 96 641 coins at 0.00

** BSC Metamask which is synced and protected by my Ledger X **

Koinly Sync

When I edit the transaction, There is no selection for the transaction type = spam coin or Dust Attack Coin

Is there a way I can flag this coin as being a spam coin or do I simply delete it from my transactions list?

A dusting attack is an attack in which a trace amount of crypto, called dust, is sent to thousands — sometimes even hundreds of thousands — of wallet addresses. This attack is deployed in order to track these addresses with the hope of “un-masking” or de-anonymizing them. Dust is found on most public blockchains, including Bitcoin, Litecoin, Bitcoin Cash, and Dogecoin, among others.

I also have this same coin in my BSC/ledger wallet. As far as I know, You have two options:

  1. Soft delete the transaction from Koinly (It can come back with a hard-delete). Note that you’ll receive warnings that your wallet balence doesn’t match what the API returns for the coin.
  2. Set the market value of the coin transaction to 0 and simply ignore the coin/tx.

I chose option #2.

Note that by default Metamask will only show you coins that you’ve told it to track. If you want to see all the tokens that your wallet currently holds, head over to bscscan.

Hello!

Alex from Koinly here

Like @Mustex said you would have to either soft delete the transaction where the scam token was sent to you so it disappears from your holdings in Koinly, or set the value to 0 and ignore it.

Thank you Mustex for helping answer this question!

Best regards,
Alex
