Describe the problem:
I just want to clarify for the manual market price edit, what date should I use? Using the transaction date might seem wise, but would be different from the current market price. The only resolution I could think of is just using the cost basis of the sent tokens.

If you see this error in Koinly, it means we could not fetch a rate from Coingecko/Coinmarketcap, therefore it defaults as 0.
Are you referring to singular deposits with 0 market price, or exchanges? Leaving it 0 by default will in most cases realize losses for each transaction, your idea to set it as the cost-basis would essentially nullify that,
If your tax office is agreeable to that then go for it, unfortunately we cant offer guidance on what to do exactly here.
