Describe the problem:
I have tried Koinly for the first time this year. I auto-linked my 4 wallets, and downloaded transactions. It shows all the transactions, but on many sales of crypto to fiat, or other crypto, where there should be a capital loss, it shows Gain: $0.00 in the details area of the transaction.
The cost basis is there, the proceeds of the sale show, and the transaction fee. But it shows $0.00 for the gain, which should be a loss amount actually. It seems that positive capital gains show correctly, but the losses usually show as zero. There are a few capital losses that show for some reason when most are just reported as $0.00. This is inflating my capital gain total a lot.
Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
All wallets appear to be affected.
How did you import data into this wallet?
automatically
What have you tried to fix this so far?
Nothing, I’ve just been studying the transactions to see why the capital gains are so high.
