How to handle contract address change?

Back in Nov I bought a tiny amount of Axion, sometime shortly after this there was a hack and the contract address changed, so I entered this new address in my Metamask wallet and everything is fine.

Except that in my transactions reported by the ETH blockchain API it shows me making the purchase of AXION, then right around when the contract changed, it shows just a deposit of the same amount of Axion.

This now makes it look like I have 2x the amount of AXN that I actually do.

I can delete the second deposit, but then the wallet complains that I have less AXN than the API reports and shows a discrepancy, but if I don’t delete it shows me having 2x the amount I really do.

Is there anyway to correct this and get rid of the warning so it will sync up properly?

See the section “When a token migrates to a new address” in https://help.koinly.io/en/articles/4928719-rebases-swaps-ampl-dot-ocean-etc.

Basically, you’ve done the right thing to delete the airdrop - but if you choose ‘soft delete’ the API should ignore it next time you sync.

Soft deleting also leaves you a reminder of what you’ve done.
