Describe the problem:
Fiat purchase fees of crypto are being counted as a capital gain. When I import my transactions from Binance.US, all my crypto transactions (buying crypto with USD) are resulting in a small “capital gain”. For example, I paid $25 usd to buy 1000 VET at $0.025 VET/USD, with a fee of 1 VET (or $0.01). This results in a purchase / cost basis of $25.01 which should have no capital gains, however it counts my fees as a $0.01 capital gain. This is incorrect as I shouldn’t have any capital gains or losses until I sell the coin. Please help.
