When I first started my venture into crypto I made a $20 purchase at an ATM. Because of this when I automatically import my ETH wallet address it simply shows a deposit from a Binance address.
Due to this I have no way to edit the transaction to link it to any manual transactions, and if I try to import the binance address linked to the ATM it goes on to import over 4000 transactions lol.
So I can easily add a transaction to show that I deposited $20, then traded $20 for ETH, but I have no way to link that trade to the deposit from the ATM…and thus it makes it appear as if I have more ETH than I really do unless I delete the transaction…but when I delete the transaction then it alters the COST BASIS for what I’ve spent on ETH. so instead of showing $70 (I’ve also spent another $50) it just shows $50 as a cost basis.
Also, token address changes behave this way as well. I converted some ETH to AXN, and then AXN changed contract address, because of this is just shows a mysterious deposit of a duplicate amount of AXN…so it appears I have 2x as much of this coin as I really do, and there is no way to change where it came from due to it being automatically imported.
It would be super handy if we could just edit the transaction and change the “RECEIVED” section even though it’s an API import.
Also, it would be super great if we could backup our transactions or export the entire transaction history to a CSV or some file. Not for a tax report, but sometimes things happen and I’ve twice now had to completely redo my entire portfolio due to some errors and this leaves me tracking down transactions which is next to impossible sometimes.
If I could just export my entire Koiny transaction/wallet list then if something went wrong I could just delete everything and re-import the saved data.
