Describe the problem:
In my Daedalus wallet I have two sub-wallets that have different amounts of Ada (eg. wallet 1 has 10k and wallet 2 has 15k). Daedalus also tracks my staked coins (e.g. 1000 unspent and 200 spent)
I think the Koinly dashboard should show that I have 25k total ADA coins, but it actually shows only 23,800. Why is that
Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
Daedalus wallet
How did you import data into this wallet?
I used koinly to synchronize with these sub-wallets
What have you tried to fix this so far?
I am not sure what to do. Do I adjust the transactions within the wallet to show the correct amount?
Hi @Rob_Black,
Thank you for asking about this and providing helpful context, man! I hope you’re feeling awesome today.
The Dashboard shows the current balance of the asset. If the balance and Cost do not add up then it’s most likely an issue with the data in your account.
There may be an issue of missing data or an API limitations influencing the incorrect balance.
Would you mind connecting with our support team so we can investigate the account to have a more targeted solution?
We’ll look forward to hearing from you, Rich!
Have an awesome day!
Michael how do I reach your account team directly? I can provide a snapshot of the daedalus wallets and their amounts and the koinly balances. The difference between Daedalus and the Koinly amounts are the staked amounts. I could add two transactions one for each sub-wallet to correct the problem. Secondly, I want to confirm that the Koinly software calculates my staking capital gains properly. In the previous years I have calculated the capital cost manually by using pool tools.io and the daiily coin cost. Based on your documentation, I assume it works correctly and calculates the actual capital cost for me.
Michael I have submitted a word document to your support team. I have verified that the differences between what Koinly is reporting and what my Daedalus wallets say I have are the staked amounts.
So the second question I have for your team is the income from staking reported properly
