I received a gift donation from a kind soul, but since it was sent from their wallet to mine, it just registers as a “deposit”. I see that only withdrawals can be labeled as “gift”. How to proceed? I converted the gift to another crypto immediately upon receiving it, btw.
Deposits are tax free. So classifying a gift as a deposit should be fine (Unless you want to classify it as Income). You can add a description if you want though.
Seems strange that deposits can’t be tagged as gifts, as it is useful to be able to filter these differently to other deposits.
