Having a hard time understanding where Koinly takes its values from?
Would anyone mind explaining what the individual items stand for and where they pull their values and how to interpret them in regards to portfolio performance?
(it would be beyond fantastic and user friendly if clicking on any of those actually opened up all the transactions that make up those numbers!!!)
Thanks in advance,
Louis
In practical terms, what do those numbers tell me?
As in "I invested this much, and this is how much I made.? Where can I see that?
Total value - Sum of Market value column.
Cost basis - Your costs of purchases in your local fiat currency (coin price * #/coins + fees).
Unrealized gains - Total value - Cost basis
and what in the world would these be important to know about?
Received - Coins from an unknown wallet.
Sent - Coins sent to an unknown wallet.
sorry for sounding so harsh but I simply don’t understand - when you have access to all those numbers in a database- how one cannot create a simple and PRACTICAL overview on the dashboard. For example, what is the PNL of every token position, what is the PNL of every exchange etc
Any of developers mind chipping in to elaborate on Kawika’s explanation and some further insights??
in simple words. to rephrase my question: Kawika, can u tell me how much $$$ I have spent on my investments and how much I made/lost from those Dashboard numbers? Not in tax terms. just in/out.
