Binance API not importing perpetual futures trades

Describe the problem:
The Binance API is importing perpetual futures transactions as if they were just deposits and withdrawals from the Tether wallet only, but crucially it is not logging the name of the cryptocurrencies being traded against Tether.

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
Binance Perpetual Futures

How did you import data into this wallet?
Binance API

What have you tried to fix this so far?

Do Koinly Support have any answer on this? As Binance Perpetual Futures are currently the most traded contracts in the entire crypto space, this matters quite a lot. I’d like to sign up to a paid Koinly subscription, but I can’t use Koinly to do my taxes if you don’t support the most popular crypto products.

Hi, for futures transactions we only import the actual profit/loss since you are not actually buying/selling crypto. Your transactions should be coming up as Realized P&L

Hello Koinly

No, it does not add the transactions on the tax report. I see only my spot trades on my tax report

Hi @Thilina_Dissanayake

Thank you for your patience with us, and for mentioning your experience reviewing the report!

It should have synced in your “Futures” trading already, so if you check the second page with the “Other gains” it’ll show.

There could be an issue though, and the futures trades never came in, so in that case you’ll need to either add them manually, or delete the wallet and use the CSV method instead. Cheers, and have an awesome day!
