AGIX Token Costs

Continuing the discussion from AGIX Token Replacement:

My purchase cost for the original token was much lower than the cost at the time of the change and the current cost. I just want to make sure that when I file my taxes that my capital gains are reported properly. I certainly can adjust the new token price back to the old token price but Koinly has the ability to label the transaction as a fork. I thought that might bE the solution and koinly would be able to report the change properly

Hi Rob,

For tax purposes, it’s easier to ignore the distribution of the new version and only keep the original purchase.
We have updated this token so that the new and old versions are treated as the same thing. You can simply delete the deposit of the new tokens and that will allow Koinly to track the original tokens as if nothing happened (since no taxable event took place anyway  )

Best regards,
Petur
