Acquisition cost and proceeds of sales

When I get my tax report from koinly for 2021,
the aquisition costs and proceeds of sales are not correct. They are much too hofh, as I have never had so much money, as the report says.

But the gains are correct.

I now wanted to fill out my tax form in germany, but cannot fill these huge numers in, koinly taxes are giving out.

Is there a chance, to get a report, with the correct amount of money I have bought cryptos with, and the real amount of money I made?

Any help would be very much appreciated!!!

Hello!

Alex from Koinly here

We have an article prepared that explains why you might see very high acquisition costs and proceeds:
https://help.koinly.io/en/articles/4240620-proceeds-from-sales-acquisition-costs-are-very-high

Please give that a read!

If you still feel like the numbers are off then please send us an email at hello@koinly.io so we can take a deeper look

Best regards,
Alex

Thanks a lot. Now I understand it.

My question is: how to explain that to the tax office?
They will ask, where all the money from the Acquisition is coming from - as it is a lot of money?
How to explain them, that I never had that amount of money?

Thank you!
Adrian

Good question Adrian, I have a similar situation and would like not know how to explain this to the tax authority?
