What is the difference between Soft delete and Perm. Delete

I want to delete a transaction and verify that it will not show again even after re-sync the wallet.
I assume that in this case I need to use the Perm. delete.
However I didn’t see any documentation about the differences between 2 methods

You will want to use soft delete. If you use perm delete, it can get added again on resync.
