I am a Canadian. I purchased crypto with Canadian $ on Kraken a US exchange. The crypto was then moved to my hard wallet in Canada. Does buy the crypto in the USA have tax implications in both countries?
No, if you are tax resident in Canada that is where you are responsible for tax.
