Turbotax Desktop (Premier) instructions aren't accurate! How to properly export from Koinly, and import into Turbotax Desktop??

Describe the problem:
The instructions in this guide: https://koinly.io/blog/how-to-do-your-crypto-tax-turbotax/ only have a small section for Turbotax desktop.

The instructions only say to export koinly using “turbotax export (gain/loss)”.

But when I look at this file and compare it to the “complete tax report”… it appears to be missing all the income transactions??

The instructions in your guide say to do file → import → crypto transactions… and upload the csv from turbotax export gain/loss… and thats all it says!

So…what is the correct way to upload everything from koinly into TT desktop?

Why am I not finding questions/guides and other people asking about this???

The only thing i’m findIng is the stupid turbox online version info. I do not want to use this if I can do it in desktop version

Thanks!

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?

How did you import data into this wallet?

What have you tried to fix this so far?

Hi there,

For both the web and desktop versions of TurboTax, the process involves:

• Locating where to import your trades

• Uploading the “gain/loss” TurboTax report downloaded from Koinly

You’re correct that this file includes only your trades. Income transactions need to be reported separately on your tax return (Form 1040).

Most users prefer the web version of TurboTax, which may explain why there are fewer questions about the desktop version on our forum. However, our tax guide provides comprehensive instructions on how to report both capital gains and income in the web version. You can check it out here: How to Do Your Crypto Tax with TurboTax.
