Tax on crypto without transaction history

Hello. I have a query regarding taxation of crypto stored in wallet in India. Suppose if I have some crypto(say bitcoin worth ₹1,00,000 as example) stored in wallet from long back which you discovered recently, and you don’t have a transaction history. If I transfer it on an exchange say WazirX and sell it immediately, how will it be taxed? How much would be the tax liability?

Hi @RogenFringes

Thanks for your message.

Unfortunately, we cannot comment on that as we are not tax advisors here in Koinly. We can only help you use the service the best way possible. Please refer to our Scope of Support article. I suggest you talk to a crypto-aware tax accountant for clarification.
