Last year, I traded one stable coin (USDEX+) to another stable coin (USDC) totaling about 1,327. The thing is, on my tax reports page, Koinly is showing I made a capital gain of 1,327. That doesn’t make sense, though, because both coins were stable coins, effectively being the same price, so I didn’t actually make any gains, as far as I am aware.
Thus, isn’t the capital gain supposed to essentially be $0 and the cost basis be $1,327? And if that’s the case how do I make it so Koinly sees the stable coin trades as cost basis and not counting as a capital gain every time I traded USDEX+ to USDC? It won’t let me modify the value of USDEX+ in the transaction history.
Not sure what to do? Thank you.
