Sold crypto and the costbasis is way to high?

Describe the problem:
Hey i am from Sweden and sold BTC recently. I want to preview the calculated profit by looking at the transactions in Koinly. The problem is that it calculates only a minor profit/ loss when i though it would be a large profit. It seems like koinly might calculate the costbasis of the coins from when i moved them from my hardware wallet to Coinbase?

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
Coinbase

How did you import data into this wallet?
Auto

What have you tried to fix this so far?
Looking through transaction history to see if something is off.

Hi @Felix

Thanks for your message. :waving_hand:t2:

If you haven’t already you’ll need to import your hardware wallet transactions so that Koinly knows you only transferred the BTC and didn’t dispose of it:

https://support.koinly.io/en/articles/9489983-how-to-import-data-from-hardware-wallets-ledger-trezor-etc

That way your cost-basis will be carried through correctly from when you acquired it. :+1:t2:

Once imported, it should change any Send/Deposit transactions to Transfers.

I hope that helps! Please let me know if you have any other questions or need help with anything else.
