Number of disposals on my UK HMRC Koinly Tax report is way off

Hi,

I can see from Koinly that I made about 1500 transactions in the the 2020 - 2021 tax year, however my the HMRC Report that I generated from Koinly is stating that the number of disposals that I made in the tax year was 3200 or thereabouts. How is this possible??

Anyone had similar issues?

That sounds correct and similar to my account. There is a capital gains calculation on the fee involved in a transaction so this approximately doubles the number of disposals.

Also some sales have to be split depending if part of a Sale is considered to come under the “same day rule”, “30 day BNB rule” or “section 104 pool”

If you download the full report and look for one of your trades you will see that it probably has 2 or 3 lines that cover the one transaction due to how capital gains tax is calculated.
