In order to support loan qualification, my mortgage lender is asking for monthly or quarterly reports that show my account balance / gains / losses, etc. similar what a brokerage account would produce. I’m sure there are some other uses for these reports, but for now, the only use case I have is trying to include your crypto balances as verifiable funds for a mortgage qualification.
