Metamask and Uniswap

Uniswap is the number one exchange by volume. It’s a decentralized exchange (DEX). Most people using Uniswap use Metamask as their wallet.

While Koinly is able to import transactions using an Eth wallet address, it does not understand Uniswap transactions. Every transaction needs to be manually audited and changed to a SWAP and every detail needs to be filled in by hand.

All this information lives in the blockchain/etherscan, it should be automated. I have so many errors now because Koinly can’t follow my Uniswap transactions correctly.

Uniswap transactions are trades in Koinly language, not swaps. I find they work fine syncing to the Eth chain with no manual input required.

Having the same issue. This will take me atleast 3-4 weeks til fillout.

I am also seeing the same issue. Some of my Uniswap transactions show as deposits and some as withdrawals. Manually correcting the data will take me weeks.

EDIT: I found this workaround – select the deposit and withdrawal transactions and merge them. Uniswap Trades being imported wrong - #4 by Bravedog
