Koinly for shares

Koinly seems great for crypto, but that’s only half of the equation to calculate Capital Gains Tax. What’s an equivalent for shares/stock?

Assuming you are in the US… Since 2012, the IRS requires stock brokerages to calculate cost basis and gains for you by and provide 1099s after the end of the calendar year. Plugging these figures into your favorite tax software trivializes the affair.

However, I do not know of a platform that allows you to track throughout the year. The closest software I have seen is GainsKeeper (I had a need for options trades as well), but it’s ugly and mostly manual. For now, I just keep a trade log in an Excel spreadsheet. You may be onto something!

Thanks, but not in the US so I guess I’m out of luck.
