Problem description
I have coin transfers between my Binance wallet and another wallet that is currently not yet supported (Harmony ONE wallet is one example, but there are many more).
The transfers in and out of this wallet and the coins are recognized correctly. Even the target wallet address is correctly displayed.
But because the target wallet (address) is not supported, the transferred coins also disappear from my holdings overview on the dashboard.
Does anyone know a workaround to add unsupported wallets so that my coins are still displayed after I transfer them between different wallets?
Any help on this topic is highly appreciated!
Hello everyone,
I was able to solve my problem. Here is the description in case anyone faces the same question.
Basically, there are two ways to solve it. Either by editing existing transactions or by creating a custom CSV file.
Editing existing transaction
Procedure is described here: How Koinly handles transfers between your own wallets | Koinly Help Center (“How can i create a Transfer manually?”)
Key points:
- Create an empty custom wallet
- Go to Transactions and search for the one(s) that are treated as deposits or withdrawels
- Edit them manually (see article menitioned above)
Create a custom CSV file
See article here: How to create a custom CSV file with your data | Koinly Help Center
Key points for the CSV file:
- I added the TXN hash from Koinly in the corresponding column in the CSV file so that the entries can be matched.
- I added deposits in the Received columns and withdrawels from the custom wallet in the Sent columns.
- I did not add any transaction fees. They were automatically calculated by coinly.
Personally I prefer the CSV file option because it allows to quickly redo the whole thing in the future if necessary. But both worked for me.
That’s it. I hope this might help someone.
