Exodus - missing purchase history

I have this message below regarding my exodus wallet. After reviewing each transaction in Koinly, I can see a swap was made from Trezor on Exodus. How do I rectify?

4 transactions are missing purchase history

You are missing deposits/trades for some coins so Koinly has assumed you got them at zero cost. This can result in higher taxes if the amounts are large. Make sure you have imported your deposits/withdrawals/trades for all years into this wallet.

  • Missing 0.04868109 BTC between 2021-01-13 18:14:16 UTC and 2022-02-23 00:33:56 UTC
  • Missing 0.25482777 ETH on 2021-10-28 17:21:38 UTC

Hi @Marina

The missing purchase history warning tells you that Koinly does not hold historical data for the assets transacted or the API has not provided us with the complete history (due to API limitations) or the files you have imported are not complete, thus assuming a 0 cost basis for them.

This is allowed by the tax authorities but could incur higher taxation, so in order to avoid it, you have to fill in the missing transaction history which is outlined in our Missing purchase history for XYZ guide.

For Exodus, we suggest the API import method. For instructions check out:

Make sure you use your xpub for BTC:

Thank you, that resolved most of issues. How would I add HBAR transactions from exodus ? Koinly asks for an “account id” and I dont see that on Exodus. Can you help?

You will need your Hedera account ID to sync your data. Check out this article.
