What is going on with this? If Koinly cannot keep up with this important evolution, I will have to look elsewhere.
I suggest using “sent to pool” as your label to keep track of your 32ETH in a validator. Of course, Koinly must come up with a way in integrate ETH2 and the eventual merger into their accounting software or risk becoming obsolete.
Just got off the staking waitlist today for Coinbase. I staked my ETH. Koinly imported a transaction for ETH → ETH2. My understanding is that the coin is still ETH, Coinbase is just making a distinction because you cannot currently convert the ETH2 to ETH. Is this conversion from ETH → ETH2 taxable? Is Koinly handling it properly? Please add support.
According to the ATO the staking of Eth using services like Lido is not a taxable event, can Koinly be updated to reflect that please?
Is Koinly able to track any Lido Staking Rewards that you have received? If not, how are you keeping track of this?

Then you just add your public key for your staking node, and it has all the rewards there…
I think eth2 should not be taxed yet. Because it has no value, the platform hasn’t been launched yet.
