Coinbase Bitcoin (BTC) Wallet | Invalid public key or no data

Describe the problem: I added my Coinbase BTC wallet, and it is not finding any transactions.
I tried using my public key, but no transactions found.

I then tried using the BIP44 Account Extended Public Key (xpub), following directions as found here, but it still doesn’t work. It says Invalid public key or no data.

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding? Coinbase BTC wallet

How did you import data into this wallet? I followed these steps for Coinbase BTC wallet: Exporting xpub from BRD, JAXX & other wallets | Koinly Help Center

What have you tried to fix this so far? Everything. Troubleshoot, edit API settings, sync, etc.

I’m also having this problem with the Coinbase wallet - BTC and LTC.

Any ideas how to fix this?

Have you been able to import any Coinbase Wallet transactions yet? I just purchased Koinly and have been working all week on this with little luck. Everything you noted I tried.

As a beginner user the below is a mouthful of information that leads to nowhere.
If you followed the above instructions on generating the xpub from recovery phrase but are not seeing any data when you enter the key into Koinly, it means that the generated xpub is not correct. This can happen if your wallet uses a non-standard derivation path for generating your Bitcoin addresses. You can find common derivation paths on this website Is there anyone out there that can help?

No clue, still not working

Same issue here, despite following the Koinly and the Ledger articles.
What’s going on with this?

I am begining to regret buying this… I understand that each exchange is different and new ones pop up all the time, however why is there not a universal standard layout for CSV Date in UTC, number of coins out, Currency out, miners fees on transaction, Fee Currency, TAG, Wallet address from, wallet address to, Tax Event (yes/no), TXN hash, Notes. I could write that up in Excel but chose this due to the 6 months of transactions that I would be sifting through and not every Exchange gives all those previously listed details, Nicehash gives Time, purpose, # of coins(currency), Exchange rate, Fiat Value in their csv. Koinly wants it adjusted to Time, # of coins, currency, Tag for simple stuff with positives and negatives for ins and outs, but when you start doing exchanges that form is no good and they want it in a different way with no negatives.

Just one form that matched the add transaction in the transaction listing with a column for each possible selection in a csv, which links fees and transactions to the TXN #

Same issue. Time is running out for the UK tax submission!

Hi guys, after a little trial and error it appears the Coinbase Wallet uses the BIP84 Deviation Path. I found the information here:

Under ‘Deviation Path’ on the ‘Ian Coleman Tool’ (please make sure you save it offline to protect your funds) you’ll need to change it to ‘BIP84’ before copying the ’ Account Extended Public Key’ into Koinly and all the transactions should show up.

It should begin with ‘zpub…’

I hope that helps and reach out if you need any help👍

NB: I’ll try and reach out to Koinly to see if the article can be changed to avoid future issues like these.

After many failures I tried the BIP84 and it worked for me! I now have my BTC transaction data from Coinbase Wallet in my Koinly account.

Thank you so much Atlas!
