Cardano (ADA) wallet syncing does not work

Persistent issue here. Updated from Exodus by exporting the CSV file and all ADA history is being ignored. No Cardano at all showing up in Koinly

Same here, not working with Yoroi Wallet

Hello everyone!

We are working on fixing the ADA support, since the Shelley update it has changed to UTXO so we need to make changes to account for that.
The best method at the moment is to get a CSV file with your ADA transactions and then upload that to Koinly.
Most exchanges/wallets/ledgers don’t need the CSV to be edited before uploading, but if we don’t have support for your specific CSV file then I’d suggest you try following this guide to create a custom CSV with the data:
https://help.koinly.io/en/articles/3662999-how-to-create-a-custom-csv-file-with-your-data

Sorry for the inconvenience, but be assured that we’re working on it!

Best regards,
Alex

I sure hope this fix comes soon. We really need a working Cardano Wallet integration, and the fact it’s a top 10 coin that isn’t supported properly sucks majorly. The work around of adding multiple wallets doesn’t always lead to accurate results either because of what you said UTXO’s.

Hi There,

Thought I’d provide some technical insight as to why auto-sync doesn’t work for ADA as of yet.

Cardano uses something known as the Extended UTXO model whereby one single address isn’t associated to your wallet. Rather, that there are multiple. Recall that when you deposit into your wallet using Daedalus, you have many addresses to choose from for the ā€˜Receive’ function.

So, auto-sync isn’t able to identify all of these addresses to sync your cumulative balance. Instead of having one public address as in the normal UTXO model, the extended model provides you with many.

Hope that helps,
