I have recently created a new Bitcoin wallet for the first time to shift my coins out of centralised exchanges. I created a wallet in the Unstoppable app. I have transferred money to this wallet and it appears in Unstoppable.
I am trying to export my xpub key similar to Koinly support instructions. Unstoppable has the following function:
Settings > Manage Wallets > click the triple dot button on the Bitcoin wallet > Public Keys > Account Extended Public Key
This generates xpub keys but thus far they all show no balance whether I add them to Koinly or view them in the blockchain.com explorer.
To add to confusion you can choose “Purpose”, “Blockchain” and “Account” (0 thru 5) and I don’t understand these. I tried Account 0 from BIP44. Then with BIP86 and each account 0 thru 5 but all showed no balance in blockchain explorer.
I see now BIP44 is xpub but still lost. I tried accounts 0 thru 5 of BIP44 in blockchain explorer to no avail. All found, but balance is 0.
Is anyone able to assist? I’m totally new to having my own Bitcoin wallet because till now I’ve just been letting my balance sit in exchanges (but thought I better learn with all the issues surrounding Binance).
I’m trying to avoid using my recovery phrase in a website if possible.
