I only hold HBAR these days, and I’ve been trading in and out of it for a year. During this time I’ve switched up my holdings on exchanges vs personal wallets a lot. Since HBAR is not supported by Koinly, I can’t add my personal wallets to this UI, and thus what should go under “transfers” becomes “withdrawals” instead and incur tax, which skews my report a lot.
Are there any plans to support HBAR? I hold on both BRD & Atomic wallet currently. In the past I also used the official wallet(which is no longer recommended).
If no current plans, how do I go about registering these “withdrawals” as “transfers” instead?
Btw, I realize this sounds like an “easy” overview. However I’ve also made thousands of trades in other coins over the past three years. I am planning to buy reports for all of those years sometimes next year, but first I’d like to know if HBAR will be supported in the future - or if there’s some other simple fix to register “withdrawals” as “transfers” instead, without messing stuff up.
Most of my other trades are beginning to look alright for an eventual audit, just this part about the many hbar “withdraws” bothering me. I’m having the same issue with IDEX transactions between my wallets being labeled “withdrawals” and trades not registering etc, but I read that it is currently in beta
You can search for HBAR on the Add Wallets page then click on the option to create a custom wallet. After this just find these withdrawals and change the transaction type to Transfer and set the receiving wallet as the custom HBAR one. You should also find any deposits from this wallet and change them to Transfer too.
