Describe the problem: Is it possible to “undo” a file import? Today I imported a file for my Nexo wallet, and I forgot to convert the dates from UK to US format, as a result all transactions have been messed up. I ended up deleting the wallet, and recreating it from the old import files, but I was wondering if there was a way to “undo” an import. If not, I guess the next best thing will be to create a “Test” wallet, and import there, before importing to the actual wallet.
I did the same thing with ADA and it duplicated all of my ADA transactions, many of which were updated over the past year to make sure they were accurately reported. Now I have hundreds of duplication and no way to revert back to the last snapshot before the import. Koinly please help in either allowing us a way to identify and delete the last import or revert back to the state the wallet was in prior to the import.
What I do is create a separate wallet and then import into this new wallet because I learned as you have, rolling back an import is a painful process.
This is also a good trick, create a 2nd (test) and 3rd (development) Koinly account and do imports there before importing into your 1st (production) account. I use the development account for all sorts of transaction wrecking behavior and don’t care about it all. The test account I try to keep as close to my production account as possible. There is where I do the last bit of testing before I import into my primary account. This has save me untold headaches and mounds of frustration.
