# Unable to merge failure

**Describe the problem:**  
When selecting a Send & Transfer transaction which should’ve been auto-merged, I click the Manual Merge option but it fails with message “Unable to Merge” dev tools shows a 400 bad request as the response for the /merge call

**Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?**  
Binance/BNB

**How did you import data into this wallet?**  
API

**What have you tried to fix this so far?**  
Re-synced the wallets, logged out/in

Hi @hockeytown34

You cannot merge a **Send** and a **Transfer** directly. What you can do is:

1. **Split** the Transfer into a **Send** and a **Deposit**.
2. **Merge** the two Send transactions into one.
3. Then, **merge** the combined Send with the Deposit to create a new **Transfer**.
