Seed Investment Tokens - Is editing the cost basis enough?

Describe the problem:
I have some seed investments/delayed tokens. I have sent the payment for the token, but I will only be receiving it after a few months. I have two questions
(1) Would changing the cost basis be enough or should I merge the two transactions by changing the sent date?

(2) For tax purposes, if example I sent 2 ETH to receive PIKA in the future but I haven’t received it during my tax year cut-off, should I account for the transaction differently or keep it as is?

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
This is for Optimism, ETH, and Arbitrum.

How did you import data into this wallet?
Through Koinly integration

What have you tried to fix this so far?
I changed the cost basis and kept the transactions exactly how Koinly imported them.

Hi @Panda_Gaming

Check out our guide on handling ICO transactions, this will surely give you some direction

I cant comment on the tax side of things since I am not qualified to give such advice
