Problems with BUSD conversion

Describe the problem:
There is a transfer from my wallet to Binance for e.g. 28.000 USDT. This amount has been converted to 28.005 BUSD. This transaction is listed as “Exchange” with 4.954€ profit. How can this be possible for a stablecoin?

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?
Binance

How did you import data into this wallet?
Tax API

What have you tried to fix this so far?
Almost everthing. Reload data by csv (even worst) and deleted everything and reloaded again.

Hello @Holger_Os

Stablecoins are treated the same as any other crypto, so can trigger gain/loss based on the cost-basis method applied.

Usually, with large profit/loss on stablecoin exchanges, it’s often down to missing purchase/conversion data which is not supplied by the API.

Do you have any missing cost indicators for any stablecoins in your wallet? Binance API doesn’t always report conversions and you may need to manually add deposits yourself.

Surprised to hear that the Binance CSV was even worse..usually that is more accurate.
