Polkadot & Kusama sync fail

Describe the problem:

Syncing my Polkadot or Kusama wallets has today started giving an error:

[401] API clients are forbidden to the Subscan web endpoint! Please refer to https://docs.api.subscan.io/ and use the new Subscan API endpoints.

Which exchange/wallet is this regarding?

At least Polkadot and Kusama

How did you import data into this wallet?

By adding wallet address at Koinly.

What have you tried to fix this so far?

Retried syncing but the error from subscan API sounds like this is not something a user can fix and the underlying implementation needs changes.

I’m having the same issue trying to import a Polkadot address. Is there any response to this issue?

Hi guys,

We also just discovered this earlier today.
Seems like our API provider has changed the endpoints so we will need to make some changes on our end as well.
Our devs will get right on it but might take a couple of days :slight_smile:

Glad this is on the list for fixing… I spent the day trying to work out how to fix it! I should have searched here first.
